Everything we do, and what it costs.

Published prices are unusual in this trade. We publish them because the alternative — making you sit in a chair before you find out — is how people end up agreeing to things they can’t afford. Ranges are real: the low end is a straightforward case, the high end is a difficult one.

Ninety minutes. A full-mouth series of digital X-rays, a panoramic, intra-oral photographs so you can see what we see, six-point gum measurements on every tooth, an oral cancer screening, and twenty minutes of actual conversation. We do not clean at this appointment unless there’s time and you want us to — the point of the first visit is to find out what’s going on.

A full hour with the same registered hygienist every time — Tasha, Corey or June. Ultrasonic scaling, hand instrumentation where it matters, polish, fluoride varnish if you want it, and a dentist exam at the end. You get your gum chart printed so you can compare it to last time.

For gum disease that has gone past the point a regular cleaning can reach. We numb the quadrant, clean below the gumline, and usually do two quadrants per visit so you’re not walking around with a whole numb face. Re-measured at 8 weeks to see whether it worked, which it usually does.

If you grind, you are grinding through about $200 of enamel a year and you will eventually crack something. We scan rather than take an impression, and the guard is milled hard-outside, soft-inside so it’s actually wearable. Two-week turnaround, one free adjustment.

We see kids from about age three. First visit is a ride in the chair, a count of the teeth, and a sticker — nothing more unless they’re into it. Sealants on the six-year molars when they arrive. We do not do papoose boards, hold-downs, or ‘you’re fine, stop crying.’

Tooth-coloured resin, shade-matched to the tooth next to it, placed in layers and cured. We use rubber dam on anything below the gumline because it keeps the field dry and dry fillings last roughly twice as long. Most single fillings take 35 minutes.

We scan the prepared tooth, design the crown on screen while you watch if you like, and mill it from a solid block of lithium disilicate in the room next door. Then we glaze it, fit it and you go home. About 110 minutes start to finish. No impression material, no temporary crown, no second appointment.

Dr. Reyes does molar endodontics in-house with a surgical microscope and rotary nickel-titanium files, so most cases are done in a single visit rather than referred out and split over three. Front teeth and premolars are $780–$980. Nearly everyone reports it hurt less than the toothache did.

Placed by Dr. Anand using a 3D-printed surgical guide from a CBCT scan, which means the implant goes exactly where it was planned rather than where it looked about right. Three to four months of healing, then a ceramic crown milled here. Price is all-in: surgery, abutment, crown.

When an implant isn’t possible or wanted. Two visits: prep and scan, then fit about ten days later. We’ll always tell you honestly whether an implant would be the better long-term answer, even though it’s a bigger job for us.

Ninety minutes in the chair with a proper isolation dam, plus custom take-home trays and two syringes of gel to top up. Realistically five to eight shades. We’ll tell you beforehand if your teeth aren’t going to respond well — grey tetracycline staining, for instance, mostly doesn’t.

Dr. Anand will not place a veneer without a wax-up and a trial smile you can wear around for a few days first. Minimal preparation where the tooth allows it, and no-prep where it does. If you want the very white American thing, she will do it, but she’ll show you the alternative first.

Laughing gas. On in two minutes, off in five, and you can drive yourself home afterwards — the only sedation option where that’s true. It doesn’t put you under, it just makes you stop caring very much. About a quarter of our patients use it routinely, including for cleanings.

A triazolam tablet an hour before your appointment. You’ll be awake and able to respond but drowsy, and most people remember very little of it afterwards. Someone has to drive you both ways and stay with you for the rest of the day. Best for people who need two or three hours of work done at once.

Dr. Alvin Petrakis, an MD anesthesiologist, comes to us the second Thursday of every month and runs full IV sedation while our team works. You will not remember any of it. This is the option for people who have genuinely not sat in a dental chair since childhood — we can do an entire treatment plan in one sitting.

You come in, you sit in the chair, you look around, you ask whatever you want to ask, and then you leave. Nobody touches your mouth. It sounds absurd and it is by far the most useful thing we offer to people with real dental phobia. Roughly one in fifteen new patients starts here.

We hold two slots every single day for people in pain, and we do not give them away to routine work. Call before 10am and you will almost always be seen the same day. If we can’t fit you, we will tell you straight away rather than leave you waiting by the phone.

Sometimes the tooth cannot be saved, and being told that honestly is better than being sold a root canal that will fail in eighteen months. Surgical extractions are $380–$560. We’ll talk about replacing it later, not while you’re still numb and upset.

If it came off cleanly and the tooth underneath is sound, this is a twenty-minute appointment. Bring the crown with you in a bag — do not try to glue it back on with anything from a hardware store, which we say because it happens about twice a year.

Prices last reviewed 1 January 2026. They exclude anything your insurance covers — we’ll estimate that for you in writing before you decide. If something here is genuinely out of reach, say so on the phone; we have a payment plan and we would rather treat you than not.

The one we’re proudest of

A crown, start to finish, before lunch.

The conventional way to make a crown involves a tray of impression material, a temporary crown glued on with something deliberately weak, three weeks of chewing carefully on one side, and a second appointment.

We bought the scanner and the mill in 2019 and stopped doing it that way. Your tooth is prepared, scanned in about ninety seconds, designed on screen, and milled from a solid ceramic block in the room next door while you sit in the chair with a coffee. Then it’s glazed in the oven, fitted, adjusted and polished. The whole thing runs about 110 minutes.

There is one honest caveat: for front teeth where the shade has to blend with a neighbour, a skilled human ceramist still beats a machine. In those cases Dr. Anand sends the case to a lab in Arden and it takes ten days. We’ll tell you which you’re getting and why.

The Fernhill Plan

Every price on this page, minus twenty percent.

$39/ month per adult · $29 for children under 14 · $59 with perio maintenance

Two cleanings, two exams, all X-rays and one emergency visit a year are included outright. Everything else on this page comes off by a fifth — which on a single crown is more than a year of membership.

Join the plan

Worked example

A year with two cleanings, X-rays and one crown:

  • Two cleanings + exams$330
  • Full X-ray series$210
  • One ceramic crown$1,420
  • Paying as you go$1,960
  • On the plan ($468 + $1,136)$1,604

You’d be $356 better off, and you’d have paid for the cleanings monthly instead of in two lumps. Not insurance. No annual cap, no deductible, no waiting period.

A darker Fernhill treatment room with deep green walls, a brass sconce and a monstera in a terracotta pot.

Still deciding

Bring us a treatment plan from somewhere else. We’ll read it for free.

Second opinions are no charge and we do about four a month. Sometimes we agree with the other practice entirely and tell you so. Sometimes the $14,000 plan turns out to be a $2,600 plan. Either way you get it in writing and there is no obligation to move.
